"Corporations can significantly improve productivity by delivering key business applications for smartphones and tablets where the user experience matches the expectations set by consumer apps. To date, usability, scalability and data integration challenges have limited innovation in enterprise mobile apps. This new team has the expertise to overcome these challenges and bring a whole new era of mobile apps to the enterprise."

Geoff Merrick, CTO of GlobalOne added: "With the launch of this new capability, we will also extend our [ability] to deliver vertical-specific capabilities onto mobile devices. This new set of mobile apps will empower firms to better enable their mobile workforce, sell products more effectively in real-time, and create an overall competitive advantage."

GlobalOne was formed in 2007. It is headquartered in New York and has offices in Sydney and The Philippines. In August it secured an initial funding commitment in excess of $US25 million from Columbia Capital and appointed the former COO of Capgemini for North America, David Northington, as CEO. The company said it would use the funds to "fuel a rapid expansion of [our] capabilities and market coverage."
