Kroll Ontrack claims it has improved its success rate for recovering from Oracle data losses.
Kroll Ontrack is well known for its hard drive data recovery services, but the company also has capabilities for dealing with more specific data losses, including damaged or deleted Oracle databases.
In particular, the company has improved its success rate for recovering data from corrupt Oracle databases and logs, from missing or deleted databases (even if metadata has been overwritten), and from damaged automatic storage management file systems (including situations where the volume structures have been damaged or overwritten).
Kroll's services include recovery of Oracle data from virtualised systems.
"Kroll Ontrack is able to recover data from a variety of Oracle data loss scenarios from a single database to a complex enterprise level installation," said Adrian Briscoe, the company's general manager for the Asia Pacific region.
"These improvements will help enterprises ensure that critical information essential for business continuity, such as customer records and business transactions, is recovered in the event data is compromised," he added.
