Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
Wholesale VoIP service provider, ISPhone Australasia, has appointed James Spenceley to the newly created position of Chief Technology Officer, charged with expanding the business from its core VoIP offering to it becoming "a fully-fledged next generation network service provider, offering a complete suite of Internet services, virtual private networks (VPN) and ADSL services for small to medium enterprises (SMEs)."
Spenceley will assume primary responsibility for the strategic planning and implementation of all of ISPhone’s networks. He will also be responsible for conducting training and development sessions for all of ISPhone’s technical employees and engineers as well as providing ongoing skills support for all network staff.
Hew was previously the network architect and internetworking infrastructure manager at Comindico (acquired by Soul), responsible for building, designing and configuring the company’s IP network, now one of the largest in the country. Prior to joining Comindico he held a variety of network manager and engineering roles at companies such as Dot Communications, MailTV and i-Net Internet.
