Citrix GoToAssist simplifies remote support and management efforts.
The latest iteration of GoToAssist provides several improvements aimed at mobile devices.
"From smartphones to tablets and laptops, mobile devices have simply become a pervasive business necessity," said Elizabeth Cholawsky, vice president and general manager of Citrix's IT support line of business.
"These are tools that organisations and their employees just can't live without, which places increased pressure on IT professionals to provide quick and effective support to a growing number of devices."
It allows viewing and remote control of PCs and Mac, with zoom and pan to cope with larger displays, plus touch and gesture controls.
Additional features are enabled when used with a paid GoToAssist account, including control of unattended systems (such as servers), file transfers, chat, and session transfer (so the support person can switch from a desktop to a tablet during a support session).
