Ms Tsoubos said that CUA was collaborating with the FSU, and was prepared to offer some flexibility to people who had “extenuating circumstances” for taking leave in the first five months. She said that a programme of blended learning involving face to face and online training modules was currently being developed which all front facing staff would have to complete before the new core system was rolled out.
CUA selected Tata Consultancy Services’ BaNCS as the basis for its new core banking system in March 2011. Last October it announced it had also signed with TCS for the BaNCS online banking system.
Dubbed “Project Nucleus” inside CUA, Tsoubos said that the core banking programme was going “extremely well” with implementation scheduled to begin in the first half of next year.
