Citrix CloudGateway 2 gains native app management

Ten customers are already using CloudGateway 2, and another 25 will do so before the product is released in July. Customers will be able to try out a cloud-based implementation of the product in a few weeks time.

Beyond the initial release of CloudGateway 2, Citrix plans to add support for more-granular policies (down to the level of activities within apps), device control, and the ability for cloud service providers to make services available through CloudGateway.

Mr Dhawan also hinted that CloudGateway functionality may be added to the company's VDI-in-a-Box product.
