Quest ready for reQuests for Office 365 migration assistance

Business IT - Technology

Looking for help migrating to Microsoft Office 365? Quest is happy to help.

Quest Software will provide support to clients seeking assistance with the move to Microsoft Exchange Online and SharePoint Online from other major messaging and collaboration systems including Google Gmail, Lotus Notes, Novell GroupWise and on-premises versions of Microsoft Exchange, SharePoint and Active Directory.

The company has previously migrated more than 30 million mailboxes to Exchange and hundreds of gigabytes of data to SharePoint. Its services include selective migration, where some maiboxes and applications are kept on in-house servers while the remainder are moved to cloud services.

Quest plans to add support for SharePoint migrations including SharePoint, Exchange Public Folders and Windows File Systems from on-premise and Microsoft Business Productivity Online Services Standard Suite (BPOS) to SharePoint Online or to a hybrid environment within the year. Plans to support for Exchange and Exchange Online coexistence and permissions management will be revealed later this year.

"Migrations to any new platform can be long, complex and expensive projects that must be carefully planned and executed, and a move to Microsoft Office 365 or a hybrid environment is no different. Getting any step in the process wrong means lost productivity and increased costs, which no organisation can afford," said Michael Tweddle, senior director, product management.

"Quest has proven leadership in successfully moving email and collaborative applications to the latest Microsoft platform, and makes the process easy and secure, mitigating the risk of lost productivity or lost data."
