OpenText RightFax 10: fax lives on

Some of us might have thought the fax age was over, but OpenText disagrees. Quoting a prediction of 6.9% CAGR for the enterprise fax marketplace, the company has announced a new version of its RightFax software.

OpenText RightFax is coming up to 25 years old. Over that time we've seen a shift to electronic document interchange, email, file transfers, instant messaging and more, but there's still a place for the good old-fashioned fax.

New features in OpenText RightNow Fax 10 provide integration with Google Apps and Microsoft Office 365 Exchange Online (in addition to on-premises products such as Exchange and Notes), turn incoming faxes into searchable PDF documents via OCR, support barcode routing, and include a branch office server that allows local fax servers to run independently while meeting handling and retention policies.
