Sage and its partners have begun offering prebuilt process modules for ERP X3 to suit specific industries.
As recently reported,
Sage released version 6.2 of its its ERP X3 business software this month, claiming hundreds of improvements.
The company has now revealed that it is working with its partners to create and release industry-specific modules. The first is a project and job costing module. aimed particularly at professional services companies.
Over time, further processes will be offered for the process and discrete manufacturing, services and distribution sectors.
These modules are being developed under the banner of the Sage ERP X3 Industry Solutions Program. Prospective partners can enrol in the program

"Since Sage ERP X3's last major release was launched last year, we have capitalised on our strong expertise together with our customers and partners which has in turn enriched the solution's functional coverage. We also know that customers need ERP solutions that provide faster time to value by being tailored to their industry and business requirements," said managing director Mike Lorge. "Sage ERP X3 Industry Solutions will provide a platform based on best practice and pre-configured business functions with specific industry methodology and scenarios."
