Pronto builds BI into ERP

Business IT - Technology

Pronto software has combined ERP and business intelligence with the release of its new Pronto-Xi Dimensions product.

Melbourne-based Pronto Software's latest ERP product incorporates IBM's Cognos to deliver BI capabilities along with traditional transaction processing.

"Pronto-Xi Dimensions gives users the ability to harness the intelligence from the ERP system to run their business efficiently and extend data to actionable insights," said managing director David Jackman. "It offers unparalleled ease of use, with personalisation capabilities to help our customers be agile and gain end-to-end business process excellence. This in turn reduces costs and returns the business a healthier profit."

Other features of the new release included a revamped and personalisable user interface, support for multiple tax regimes, multi-currency point of sale (eg, for stores located in airports), shipment processing, and a French language pack.
