Zoho Books adds accounting to cloud suite

Business IT - Technology

Cloud application provider Zoho has added an SME accounting program - Zoho Books - to its catalogue.

Zoho Books includes the usual features such as invoicing, reminders, payment gateways (including PayPal, Google Checkout, and Authorize.net), expenses, cheque and credit card accounts, and reporting.

Less common features include multi-currency capabilities, real-time collaboration (two users are included in the $US24/month subscription; additional users cost $US5/month).

Zoho Books provides basic integration with Zoho CRM and Zoho Sheet (the company's spreadsheet offering), and tighter integration with other Zoho programs (including migration from Zoho Invoice) is promised, along with QuickBooks integration.

There's no indication of how well it can cope with GST, or whether there are any facilities for importing transactions from Australian financial institutions.

Zoho Books is also available through the Google Apps Marketplace.

A 30-day free trial is available.
