Digital signage a la Mac

~sedna presenter, a Mac based digital signage system, is now available in Australia.

Available from Computers Now, ~sedna presenter claims to allow anyone from small businesses to airports and shopping centres to operate their own digital signage systems without having to rely on agencies.

"For the first time, you can create, manage and deliver content entirely through the Mac platform," said a Computers Now spokesperson. "And most importantly, it can be done end to end with ease - think iTunes meets iCal for the digital signage business."

The software handles the organisation, scheduling and distribution of content, with delivery via a local network, the Internet, or if necessary on physical media.

Signage can be displayed on individual screens or multi-monitor video walls. The iPad is also supported as a presentation device via an optional app.
