Adobe ships CS5

Business IT - Technology

Adobe Creative Suite 5 is now shipping, a couple of weeks after its formal announcement.

Adobe announced CS5 last month, and the products in the family are now available to customers.

(A hands-on report on Photoshop CS5 in a production environment has already been published by iTWire.)

"CS5 is now available to purchase from our Authorised Resellers, and on Adobe's Australian and New Zealand stores online," Calum Russell, group marketing manager for Adobe's Pacific region.

"Reaction to CS5 from our customers at our initial roadshows has been very positive and we believe the new features available will inspire customers to purchase what is a ground breaking product release," he added.

The remaining legs of that roadshow are to be held in Melbourne (May 6), Adelaide (May 25), Perth (May 27), Brisbane (June 8) and Canberra (June 10).

Concerns have been expressed about the price differential between Australia and the US.
