Foxit Upgrades Phantom PDF Suite

Business IT - Technology

Version 2.0 of the all-in-one PDF creation and editing package adds the ability to work with multiple files at once and to manipulate the pages in a PDF file.

The Phantom PDF Suite offers tools not only for reading and creating PDF files but also for editing and annotating them.

The new version adds the ability to batch convert multiple files to PDFs and save them either as separate files or a single merged PDF.

It also adds several new features for working within a PDF file, for example the ability to scan new pages directly into a PDF file. Users can also create a blank PDF file from within the Phantom suite, which can be immediately populated with scanned pages.

The annotation feature now supports copy and paste, so if someone needs to comment on a repeated issue, they only need to type it once.

The program also lets users add video or audio to a PDF file.

The suite, available today, starts at US$129 per license for 1-4 users, with the first year of support free ($29 per year per user thereafter). Current users of Phantom PDF Suite 1.x are entitled to a free upgrade at least through the end of the month.
