Microsoft Online Services reaches 40 million users

Business IT - Technology

More than 40 million people around the world are using Microsoft Online Services, the company has claimed.

Microsoft Online Services includes Exchange Online, Office Communications Online, Office SharePoint Online and Office Live Meeting. The applications are hosted by Microsoft, and made available on a subscription basis.

In Australia, Microsoft Online Services are sold as part of Telstra's T-Suite services.

"Since we launched T-Suite last year, we've seen customers moving to the cloud to improve their cash flow, productivity and workforce mobility and allow them to focus on running their business, not their IT," said Brian Harcourt, executive director, Maxi and Manager segments/emerging markets, at Telstra Business.

A 30-day free trial is available.

Globally, the number of Microsoft Online Services users has passed the 40 million mark.
