Paycycle - payroll in the cloud

Business IT - Technology

Australia-based Paycycle has gone live with its cloud-based payroll service.

Paycycle has been designed to make payroll processing less of a chore for small business operators. Rather than tying users to a specific computer, it is offered as a cloud-based service.

And in case you're wondering, it really is 'cloud' not 'SaaS' as the service runs on cloud-based infrastructure.

The company claims it is possible to complete a pay run in just five minutes.

Paycycle is "Fully integrated with the leading online accounting systems," company officials said. MYOB and Xero were the only brands specifically mentioned.

One issue that may cause some disquiet among certain potential users is that Paycycle requires Silverlight 3.0, which is only available for Windows and Mac OS X.
