NetSuite plans ERP for Google Apps Marketplace

Business IT - Technology

NetSuite is joining what is beginning to look like a stampede towards the Google Apps Marketplace.

Cloud application provider NetSuite has announced it will soon offer a version of its web-based ERP software through the Google Apps Marketplace.

"NetSuite is committed to bringing the power of cloud computing to businesses, so integrating with Google Apps is a logical choice for us," said NetSuite CEO Zach Nelson.

"By adding NetSuite to the Google Apps Marketplace, we plan to make it extremely easy for Google Apps customers to get a powerful cloud computing ERP application that works seamlessly with their technology platforms," he added.

NetSuite incorporates accounting, inventory, supply chain, order management, CRM and ecommerce functionality.

It is not clear from the company's announcement whether there will be any substantial changes in NetSuite for Google Apps, or if the plan is to simply take advantage of a single sign on for Google Apps, NetSuite and other applications from the Google Apps Marketplace.
