Trend Micro teams with Ericsson to secure smartphones

Anti-virus and content security specialist, Trend Micro, has entered into a global agreement with Ericsson under which Ericsson will incorporate Trend Micro Mobile Security into Ericsson Mobile Device Antivirus as part of its Mobile Data Solutions portfolio.

The portfolio offered to enterprises and mobile operators interested in providing additional security measures to protect their end users from the growing threat of mobile malware. Trend Micro Mobile Security is specifically designed for smartphones running Symbian and Microsoft operating systems to provide protection against malicious mobile code including SMS spam and mobile viruses.
