Nokia enable push email to cellphones from Notes & Domino

Business IT - Technology

Nokia has announced support for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino servers in Nokia Business Center, Nokia's platform that enables collaborative business applications for the mobile world, starting with push email to mobile devices.

Announced last September, Nokia Business Center "leverages the broad availability of standard mobile phones to access mobile email." It provides companies with two options: a free standard client that comes with Nokia Business Center that offers basic push email capabilities, and a richly featured professional client available for an upgrade fee. The Nokia Business Center currently supports mobile email over ten Nokia smartphones and communicators, with support for new models as they are announced.

Nokia Business Center with Lotus Notes and Domino support is expected to be available for customers during Q1 2006.
