Tee off online with golf booking system

Business IT - Technology

Golfers wanting to book a round of golf at courses around Australia can now do it online with a new service launched today by Golf Australia and iseekgolf.com.

Golf Australia CEO, Stephen Pitt, said today seekgolf.com would provide the technology and management services, with Golf Australia encouraging club participation and also marketing the online application.

Pitt said he was pleased to be working with iseekgolf.com to help increase player participation by utilising the company’s leading online technology.

“In today’s society, our leisure experiences are so often booked online, so it’s very appropriate a social round of golf can be booked online through a few simple steps.”

Under the agreement, iseekgolf.com will continue to offer bookings through its existing website while supporting applications through an independent Golf Australia website and through third parties keen to promote the game.

Iseekgolf.com general manager, Steve Scott, said today that the arrangement was a major breakthrough for the company and would also yield results for Australian golfers who would soon find it easier to book a round of golf at courses around the country.
