Iranian hackers attack U.S. university

Business IT - Technology

Today, Iranian hackers brought the cyberwar to the U.S. -- to the website of the University of Oregon, to be exact.

This morning, visitors to the university's site were redirected to a screed against President Obama on a page purportedly belonging to "NobodyCoder From Iran."

"Hey Stupid Fly Catcher Obama! Stop talking about Iran and telling to your dogs (UK, France, Germany) to talk about Iran and Iran Election," read the message.

It continued, "We never cheated in elections and even Moosavi knows that. So stop this stupid things! OK????"

The message was up for about an hour and a half before the university noticed and repaired the breach.

It is unknown why the supposed Iranian hacker chose the University of Oregon website to deliver his message to Obama.

The university offers degrees in a standard assortment of scientific and liberal arts fields. Its sports teams are known as the Ducks. Ducks are known to catch flies.
