O2 has unveiled what it claims to be the smallest multimedia PDA-phone on the market, the O2 Xda Atom.
It is also claimed to be the world's first PDA-phone with a 2.0 megapixel camera with a built-in flash and an FM radio tuner. It weighs 140 grams and measures 58mm x 102mm x 18.5m.
It comes with a new O2 developed application, O2 MediaPlus, billed as "a one-stop multimedia centre that allows users to launch and control various multimedia features on the Xda Atom from one interface." It is also the first device from O2 to run on the new Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system.
It will be available from December 7 at a recommended retail price of $1,229, inclusive of GST. It will be distributed by Ingram Micro and Brightpoint Australia and available widely through T and phone distributors and retail outlets.
