3Com has plans to increase market share in the Asia Pacific region and has appointed a new regional chief to drive a greater focus on its channel and end-user communities.
Peter Chai, VP and general manager APAC for
3Com, today announced that Murray Holzworth, formerly with CITEC, where
he led the company in securing key state government contracts with
Queensland Health and Education, has been appointed as 3Com’s regional
director for the Asia Pacific region with responsibility to increase
the company’s market share with a “niche focus on 3Com’s channel and
end-user communities.”
Holzworth, who joined 3Com in 2004, will be based in the company’s
Brisbane office, and Chai says he will be responsible for reviewing the
solutions that 3Com currently offers to its service providers,
including marketing support for solution developments across key
technology categories such as switching, routing, security and network
management.
Chai says Holzworth has 20 years experience in the IT industry and, as
well as CITEC, he worked for Powerlan (now Datacom) and Coretech.
