“All of our personnel are provided with the electronic tools they need to be able to complete their tasks, and I can monitor their performance remotely,” says Walsh.

Walsh also says that his sales, operations and admin personnel are using electronic forms and “everything we need to capture is done electronically, whether it’s a sales order, field service job, employee expenses or time sheets. It’s all done via the smartphone over the web, including using the smartphone as an external modem for our laptops.

“We have even gone so far as to automatically populate our CRM system every time we update a record from a smartphone, and having access to information in real time is invaluable, reducing unnecessary delays and enabling our staff to address customer requirements immediately” Walsh concluded.
