Pssst'¦ wanna job? NBN is recruiting a CEO

Business IT - Technology

Following the incorporation of the state-owned NBN Company last week, a CEO is now required.

Just announced by Sen. Conroy at this afternoon’s National Press Club address, the newly inaugurated NBN Company has commenced a search for a CEO.

I’d suggest that if you’re in the running, the recruiters will be seeking you out, not the other way around, but there's no harm in telling them you're interested.

This announcement follows on from the decision to seek a lead advisor, announced last week.  The “request for expression of interest” document specifies that interested parties have until May 19th to lodge initial paperwork.

Short-listed groups will be advised a week later, with the selected provider to be fully operational in the week commencing July 6th.

The first earth is expected to be turned in early August.  Things are moving quickly.
