Mobile operators get fixed price spectrum renewal in $3b Government windfall

The Government has offered Australia's three mobile operators, and vividwireless, renewal of their existing spectrum allocated on 15 year licences in the late 90s and early 2000s at set prices, while the Government expects to rake in $3 billion.

"Australians looking to make the switch to free-to-air digital TV can be reassured that choosing a product with a Freeview product logo means they will receive the full suite of free-to-air digital TV channels," said Freeview CEO Robin Parkes.

Has anyone come across an HD TV or STB that won't pick up all the channels?

"Any HD digital receiver will receive the Freeview channels. These product logos are designed to further assist people in identifying digital TV equipment," Parkes added.
