New iPhone BI app follows you like BO

Business IT - Technology

“With QlikView for iPhone workers can explore data in any way they choose, drilling down into a single SKU or customer name rather than static reports.  And to clear selections all you have to do is shake the device.  Apple’s popular 3-D Cover Flow feature is also enabled, allowing users to ‘flip’ through business analysis, make a selection with changes instantly reflected throughout.”

QlikView for iPhone uses GPS to create smart location-aware reports, and Barnard says that “when a sales representative needs to get up to speed on an account before a meeting, they don’t have to start from a list of 250 accounts in the region, instead the iPhone will know where they are located and get answers for the account they are walking to.”

Barnard quoted a recent mobility study by Aberdeen Group which he said showed that the top driver for enterprise mobility was to improve worker productivity, and that enterprise mobility can lead to a 40% increase in employee productivity, 35% improvement in customer satisfaction and 25% improvement in employee retention.

“Having a more efficient workforce, getting closer to your customers and having a more responsive organisation is widely understood, unfortunately current mobile BI offerings on the increasingly popular iPhone don’t reflect this,” Barnard claimed.
