Inside Info says it now has available for the Australian market the first and only business intelligence software for the iPhone that allows users of the phone to access click-and-query management, sales, marketing and product information.

According to Inside Info, the QlikView BI application, for which it is the exclusive Australian distributor, will allow businesses, for the first time, to give their employees when they’re out in the field and on the move, using the Apple iPhone, to access the information they need to undertake their job.

Stuart Barnard, managing director of Inside Info, says businesses can now give iPhone-using mobile workers “access to dynamic, click-and-query management, sales, marketing and product information housed within their QlikView business intelligence application.”

Announcing the availability in Australia of QlikView for iPhone, Barnard claimed that the application was the “first truly interactive mobile BI app for business built specifically for the iPhone.”

“QlikView for iPhone fully leverages iPhone’s multi-touch and GPS features to deliver QlikView’s renowned interactive capabilities.  The result is a ground breaking app purpose-built for the iPhone that puts the power of sophisticated, real-time business answers in the hands of mobile users.”

According to Barnard, QlikView for iPhone takes full advantage of the iPhone’s native interface.

“The entire application is multi-touch driven with complete implementation of the iPhone finger gestures users are accustomed to, and this allows users to select, interact and drill down into data and charts unlike any competitive mobile BI apps.
