Fran Capo is a “household name in the US” thanks to appearances on “major TV shows such as Jay Leno, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, the Late Show, Larry King Live, Entertainment Tonight, not to mention various commercials and movies during her colourful career as a stand up comedian and the world’s fastest talker”.
Telstra have decided to pit Capo’s super speedy talking talents against 21Mbps Next G download speeds to see who’s the fastest, and this will be happening at Sydney and Melbourne T-Life stores for those wishing to see Capo’s conversational capers in action.
Telstra says “these promise to be highly entertaining events including a Fran vs 21 tech speed challenge, pop quiz, stand up comedy and with prizes to be won. Fran will be in Sydney from the 13-15 April, and in Melbourne from the 15-20 April.”
More information can be found at Bigpond.com or the T-Life
website.
As always, despite the network being called a 21Mbps network, real life speeds are
up to” 8Mbps – which is still at least twice as fast as Telstra’s previous Next G offering.
Why not let Telstra do the talking on why this is the case? Here’s what they have to say:
“As with any wireless service, speeds are affected by many factors, such as location and customer equipment.
“In this case, actual customer speeds are less than 21Mbps, but customers in many CBD and metropolitan areas with the new 21 USB Mobile Card can enjoy typical speeds of 550kbps to 8Mbps.
“In other areas speeds experienced will typically be 550kbps to 3Mbps.”
So, if you want some fast talkin’ from Telstra that you might actually enjoy, check out Fran Capo on her T-Life Australian tour and see if you can get a word in edgewise!
