Maintenance of PCI compliance is vital for companies in ensuring protection for cardholders against data theft and fraud.
PCI DSS was designed to protect sensitive cardholder account data from theft and fraud, and all organisations that perform or process credit card transactions must achieve, maintain and prove PCI compliance by implementing file integrity monitoring controls on the technology that supports these transactions.
What’s more, failure to meet compliance guidelines can result in monetary penalties, or even the suspension or revocation of a company’s right to accept or process credit card transactions.
