Going for growth in S.A. IT services market

Business IT - Technology

“CSG continues to report positive results and is expanding at a time when many are downsizing. I believe it is testament to the quality of work we do and the commitment we have to our customers. It is fantastic to see an Australian organisation competing well against the internationally owned competition particularly in a state such as South Australia.”

Lee says that to manage its entry and anticipated growth in the South Australian market ,CSG had secured the services of John Driscoll, the ex state director of Microsoft, who would focus on building the CSG operation in the state into a national centre of excellence.

According to Driscoll the opportunity for service level improvements and cost reduction of IT services has never been greater, with new technology and capabilities for management and support, core business development and rapidly emerging technologies such as Cloud Computing and Virtualisation.

“The notion of ‘do more with less’ is a very feasible goal for government and corporates alike and as cost pressures become more pervasive and apparent in all business areas, governments and business both need to be more efficient and even more effective at competing in global markets.

“Revenue sources and business opportunities will become tighter and targets for international competitors, so the increasing capability of local business to win on that stage can be driven by early adoption of newer and lower cost IT solutions.”
