Dragon NaturallySpeaking goes double-digit

Business IT - Technology

"With its near-perfect accuracy and easy-to-use interface, Dragon has touched millions of people by creating a more productive and natural experience at the desktop. There's no need to take time to train the software or learn arcane steps or commands anymore - people can simply start talking and see their ideas flow directly onto the page. It really is incredible to see," added Anderson.

Some editions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 will include a Bluetooth headset to cut the cord from the PC. Similarly, some editions feature support for digital voice recorders.

Australian solicitor Peter Mitchell was among the users given the opportunity to test the new version prior to its release. "As a sole practitioner with no support staff and an enormous amount of written material to be submitted and prepared for court work, Dragon NaturallySpeaking is a key productivity tool for me," he said.

"While using Dragon 10 in the trial period, I have already noticed improvements in both speed and accuracy of the program. Dragon 10 is a big improvement."

Prices range from $A149.95 for Dragon NaturallySpeaking 10 Standard to $1099.95 for the Professional edition.
