Making Wordly sense from nonsense? iPhone can't do this!

Business IT - Technology

Forget the iPhone, it's just another phone. ... As for me, I just can't get enough of Wordle. If after reading this you also become a Wordler, I hope I haven't gotten you into trouble by diverting too much of your time.

Last week, I introduced Wordle to iTWire readers. It's an online tool or "toy" that has grabbed me and won't let go!

If you missed this (because somehow it didn't get included in the daily iTWire newsletter), then to find out how easy and pleasant it is for you to use Wordle please refer to Wordle me this, Wordle me that!

Wordle is great for clustering frequent words and making word patterns emerge. I wondered what would be generated if I entered some different types of text input to Wordle and let it rip.

To start with, I used a rich source of inspiration: subject lines from a few of the spam mails that I've received during the past week:

Inside Steve Job's brain - All the dirty secrets about American Idol - Flat Earth Society disbanded - Pope killed by assassin in Vatican City - Pope shot in attack in Australia - Boeing airliner crashes over Michigan - Cats skinned alive in Alabama - The truth about gas prices - Charred bodies found near White House - School teacher wanted for murder - Obama portrayed as terrorist - Cat gouges man's eyes - Obama trouser fly slip - Beijing Olympics cancelled, moved to Atlanta - First photos of Angelina Jolie babies - Afghan bombing kills President Bush - Angelina Jolie dies in miscarriage - Elton John dies in rocket ship - Heath Ledger awarded posthumous Oscar - iPhones going for free - Living proof that the earth is flat - The Dark Knight makes Heath Ledger a bigger star than he ever was in life - Hell is a more preferable destination than Heaven - Secret oil reserves in Texas - Demi Moore's baby suffers lung infection - Nicole Kidman baby in hospital - Britney Spears baby in intensive care - Paris Hilton does it again - Exposed secrets of American Idol - Hack iPhone 3G for any service provider - Paupers turn millionaires - Conspiracy of 1865 Lincoln assassination exposed - Mick Jagger to make big screen debut - Nicole Kidman baby in hospital - Millions of eBay accounts hacked - Moon landings faked

Two of the many possible Wordle outputs from the above inventive subject lines are:
