In addition to Stammers views on cost, it's going to be hard for Microsoft to play the price card against a competitor that has successfully demonstrated to clients that it already pays for itself many times over.

As is the case in the Internet space, it looks like troubled times ahead for Microsoft on the virtualisation front.
