Virtualisation specialist, VMware has acquired B-hive Networks to enable it to offer performance management and service level reporting for applications running within VMware based virtual machines.

According to VMware "B-hive technology brings insight into the performance of applications and the ability to automate changes using VMware’s...data centre virtualisation and management suite, VMware Infrastructure, to reallocate resources as needed to ensure service level objectives."

Following the acquistion, B-hive’s R&D facility and team based in Israel will form the core of a new VMware development centre in Israel.
