KDR Creative Software (soon to be known as The Online Workshop) has picked up the Office Business Application (OBA) of the Year award at the Microsoft Office Developers Conference.
The inaugural Office Business Application(OBA) solution of the Year Contest has been run and won at the Microsoft Office Developers Conference.
An expert panel were tasked with recognising excellence in Office applications developed by Microsoft partners and
SmartAsset ODC , the Aussie developed asset management tool pipped the competition
“We really didn’t expect to get anywhere when we entered SmartAsset into the Microsoft OBA of the Year program, particularly as we are so new to the Microsoft development world,” commented Kevin Ramsey, CEO and Founder of KDR / The Online Workshop.
“We were literally blown away when SmartAsset was announced as the winner - and the inaugural winner at that. This win has enabled us to do exactly what we hoped to do by participating in the conference, which was to raise our profile with Microsoft and their partners worldwide. The recognition that comes with this award is also a great boost to our team and acknowledges the hard work that has gone into creating SmartAsset over the past 12 months,” he added.

SmartAsset ODC enables the deployment of comprehensive asset management functionality within the Office 2007 suite of products. With SmartAsset ODC, activities such as asset navigation and review, maintenance planning, task assignment, job execution and feedback, parts utilisation, time recording and the presentation of analytical data can be performed using tools such as Outlook, Projects, Excel and Word.
