iTunes moves to 7.6.1

Business IT - Technology

Apple has updated its iTunes media player application to provide improved compatibility with the recently updated Apple TV 2.0 software.

iTunes 7.6.1 also delivers several bug fixes, although Apple is being characteristically quiet about which problems are fixed.

One issue known to be addressed by the update is a "rare" problem that results in iTunes hanging due to the presence of certain media files in the library.

iTunes 7.6.1 is available for Mac OS X and Windows. It can be downloaded via Software Update on a Mac or Apple Software Update on a Windows system that already has iTunes or QuickTime installed. The installer can also be downloaded directly from Apple's web site.
