FileReplicationPro has released a new version of its cross platform file replication and synchronisation product claimed to be the first to offer real time replication of Mac OS X Leopard files.
According to FileReplicationPro's EVP of products, Kuty Shalev, "The Mac user community has been requesting real time replication capabilities to aid efficiency and we are delighted to be able to provide this feature. With our tight integration into the file system we can replicate files in real time, while ensuring the full integrity of the replicated files including ACLs and resource forks."
He added: "For the first time, enterprises running Mac OS X, including the newly-released Leopard, will be able to make use of hooks directly into the file system event notifications, which will allow FileReplicationPro to capture changes to files as they occur...These changes can then be replicated and synchronised across the network for multiple purposes including offsite data backup, branch office synchronisation, content distribution and file sharing."
FileReplicationPro claims to be the leading native cross platform provider of file replication and synchronisation software, used by hundreds of companies from small businesses to Fortune 500 enterprises and government organisations.
