Monster Patch Tuesday for Oracle

Business IT - Technology

Oracle has released a critical patch update comprising 45 new security fixes across its product range.

"Due to the threat posed by a successful attack, Oracle strongly recommends that fixes are applied as soon as possible," company officials warned.

19 of the fixes - including two for remotely exploitable issues - are for Oracle Database and related products.

A further 14 are for E-Business Suite and related applications. Six of the issues are remotely exploitable without the need for a username and password.

Other fixes are for Application Express, Application Server, JDeveloper, Collaboration Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

Oracle releases critical patches according to a quarterly schedule on the Tuesday closest to the 15th of January, April, July and October.
