Early update for iMovie '08

Business IT - Technology

Apple has released an update for iMovie '08 just a couple of weeks after the software shipped.

Details are scarce, but according to Apple the iMovie 7.0.1 update is mainly to fix problems relating to integration with .Mac's new Web Gallery feature.

As is so often the case, the update claims to improve overall stability as well as providing other minor bug fixes.

iMovie 7 is part of the iLife '08 package released alongside the aluminium iMacs earlier this month.

Apple previously released patches for iWeb 2.0 and iPhoto 7.0 which are also parts of iLife '08. As with iMovie, the iPhoto issue related to publishing to .Mac Web Gallery, but the iWeb fix improved compatibility with files created by the 1.0 version from iLife '06.

Apple has released 14 software updates this month, including two for its Windows-related products (iTunes and the AirPort Base Station) and one for the iPhone.
