Kingston's 4G miniSDHC cards

Business IT - Technology

Kingston Technology's 4G miniSDHC flash memory card is available in versions with three different transfer speeds, but the price difference is so small it hardly seems worth bothering.

Suitable for use only with SDHC and miniSDHC devices (a full-size adaptor is included), the new cards can hold more than 2000 images, 750 songs or 4.5 hours of MPEG-4 video.

"As sleeker, more sophisticated mobile phones, PDAs and MP3 players offer digital imaging, music, video, mobile TV and games, the need for higher data transfer rates, increased storage and smaller form factor expansion memory becomes greater," said Vaughan Nankivell, Kingston's regional manager for Australia and New Zealand.

The 4G cards are available in Class 2 (2M/sec minimum transfer rate), Class 4 (2M/sec) and Class 6 (6M/sec) versions for $A134, $A136 and $A138 respectively.
