Online app provider Zoho: 300k customers and accelerating

Zoho, a providers of office productivity applications online, says it now has 300,000 customers, with the last 100,000 signed up in one third the time it took to sign the first 100,000.

According to 'Zoho evangelist', Raju Vegesna, "It took us 12 months to reach our first 100,000 customers, another six months to reach our next 100,000 customers. Now, we’ve attracted another 100,000 in four months."

Zoho claims to be creating "the most comprehensive suite of affordable, online productivity tools for today's knowledge workers" and to have almost 120 developers working on the Zoho suite. To date it has launched 15 different applications and says more are in the works. A full list is on its home page .

Zoho is a division of AdventNet, a US developer of software tools founded in 1996 that claims more than 10,000 customers worldwide.
