My Net Fone targets SOHO SME VoIP market with Linksys ATA

VoIP provider My Net Fone has sharpened its focus on the SOHO and low end of the SME market with the introduction of a two line analogue phone adaptor from Linksys that has been customised for the My Net Fone service and which will be co-branded Linksys & My Net Fone.

The device, named the MNFSPA2100, will be offered with two new plans, 'Pro' versions of the company's existing JumboSaver and PowerSaver plans. These offer, respectively 250 and 500 local and national calls and a direct indial number for $19.95 per month and $49.95 per month. The Pro versions will be identical but will include two lines and two indial numbers. (Also, the JumboSaver offers calls to mobiles at 20 cents per minute, the PowerSaver at 15 cents per minute).

My Net Fone has ordered 10,000 of the Linksys devices and says it expects to sell these "over the coming months in the key market segments of SOHO and SME" to generate more than $250,000 in equipment sales and an estimated $1 million per annum in additional recurring revenue from new subscribers.

My Net Fone director, Rene Sugo, told iTWire: "We are trying open up a new channel with Linksys into SOHO/SME. [The MNFSPA2100] will be sold through Ingram Micro which is Linksys' biggest distributor and will be listed in the Linksys product range as well as the MNF product range. We will be saying to the Linksys channel 'here is a box with a service built in, the My Net Fone service, that is incredible value'."

The MNFSPA2100 is a version of the Linksys SPA2100 ATA  It features two RJ11 ports for connection to analogue phones, fax machines, PBX and key systems. Each phone port can be independently configured via software controlled by the service provider and/or the end user. The SPA2100 also includes two RJ45 ethernet ports: one for connects to a broadband modem or router and one for a PC. It wil be able to provide QoS for upstream traffic on any DSLAM by prioritising this traffic over the users' other upstream traffic.
