Telstra has revealed the addition of almost one million new mobile services in the six months to December 2011, but Sensis revenues plummeted 24 percent in 12 months.
IT security vendor, Sophos, has announced a new version of Sophos Anti-Virus which supports the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system, including the much discussed Patchguard kernel locker.
Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000/XP/2003/Vista,
version 6.5 includes a full service security system including
protection against viruses, spyware, adware and potentially unwanted
applications.
The Sophos service will also include its own central management
console, automatic scanning and automatic updates. Sophos customers
using the existing product for Windows 2000/XP/2003, version 6.0 will
be updated to support Vista automatically, without any user
intervention.
“Sophos has established very close ties with Microsoft to ensure we
protect our business customers against threats that may emerge
targeting the new Vista platform. Sophos Anti-Virus running on Vista
provides unprecedented protection and fully supports Microsoft’s new
functionality including PatchGuard," said Rob Forsyth, Managing
