Twitter has been the target of a malicious professional hack - “They were not amateurs”
“We discovered a live attack and shut it down moments later … but the attackers may have had access to … user names, email addresses, session tokens and … passwords for approximately 250,000 users.
As of 1 February Twitter has reset passwords and revoked session tokens for user accounts it suspects were hacked and advised them by email.
All Twitter users should follow suit and change passwords – you never know what the end game of a professional hack like this could be.
