iTWire UPDATE - it's FREE!

Good Technology has expanded its portfolio of secure mobile collaboration products with Good Connect, a secure instant messaging application, and Good Share - an application that enables users of mobile devices to store documents in the corporate data centre, behind the firewall, and share those with others.

Jim Watson vice president and corporate general manager at Good Technology APAC, told iTWire: "One of the attractions of BlackBerry for years has been the ability to send instant messages securely. Now we have launched secure instant messaging. Good Connect is secure messaging behind the firewall. It uses Good's proprietary AES 192 encryption. Messages are delivered over our own proprietary network via our NOC."

According to Good Technology, "Good Connect lets employees collaborate with colleagues in real-time, as well as view availability, send and receive secure instant messages, initiate a phone call or send a secure email with just one tap."

Good Share is a rebranded version of TrustedShare from Copiun, a company acquired by Good Technology in September.

The products have been launched into a booming market. Research Firm Infonetics released its Security Client Software report today saying it expects mobile security client software revenue to grow 63 percent in 2012 on the heels of 76 percent annual growth in 2011.
