Critical update for Flash Player

Business IT - Security

Adobe has released an update for Flash Player, warning that one of the addressed vulnerabilities is being actively exploited by attackers.

Adobe Flash Player 10.3.183.10 resolves six critical vulnerabilities in the widely-used software. One, a cross-site scripting issue - is being exploited in the wild, the company warns.

The other vulnerabilities variously provide opportunities for remote code execution, denial of service, and information disclosure.

Adobe recommends that all users of version 10.3.183.7 and earlier upgrade to 10.3.183.10. The updated version of Flash Player for Android is 10.3.186.7.

Recent versions of Flash Player for Windows and Mac OS X include an auto-updater, and the latest versions are also available here. The Android version is available from the Android Marketplace.

Google Chrome, which has Flash Player built in, has also been updated.
