Also new are the palm-sized M31-VE dome cameras, designed for monitoring outdoor entrance areas with an operating temperature range of -20C to 50C. Some models are fitted with a weather shield for protection against sunlight, rain and snow.

Video resolution varies up to 720p depending on the model.

The M31-VE series goes on sale in the second quarter at prices that are yet to be announced.

The Axis Q7414 video encoder blade can be used with the company's 291 1U Video Server Rack or the Q7900 Rack to integrate analogue cameras into an IP-based video surveillance system.

The blade has four video channels and four bi-directional audio channels, and supports H.264 with true multi-streaming from each channel. Features include enhanced video motion detection; active tampering alarm; and pan, tilt, zoom support on each channel.

"The new video encoder blade brings the benefits of intelligent network video and audio to existing and new analog systems" said Mr Wong. "With the new blade Axis offers the market's most comprehensive set of network capabilities, optimising the network video solution for security, efficiency and manageability."

The Q7414 will ship in the second quarter at prices that are yet to be announced.
