Another company has reported strong growth in Asia Pacific. Check Point saw 25% year-on-year worldwide revenue growth, but Asia Pacific operations recorded a solid 40% jump.
Security vendor Check Point Software Technologies has reported record results.
Its 4Q09 revenue was up 25% year-on-year to $US272.1 million, with total 2009 revenue rising 14% to $US924.4 million.
Net income was up 27% to $109.5 million for the quarter and up 16% to $US356.5 million for the year.
"I am very pleased that we were able to deliver an all-time record fourth quarter and fiscal year 2009 results, which exceeded the high-end of our projections in both revenues and earnings per share," said chairman and CEO Gil Shwed.
"Our product sales have shown the highest sequential growth recorded in our history this quarter. This growth came from all product lines and across all regions."
That said, the Asia Pacific region was a particularly strong performer, recording over 40% revenue growth.
We might not be at the start of a new IT boom, but things certainly look brighter than they did this time last year.
