An outsourced e-mail management service tailored to company policies has been launched in Australia through a partnership between Managed Services Pty Ltd and internet security company SurfControl.
Offering SurfControl E-mail Filter as part of its new managed e-mail service, Managed Services claims to be the first in Australia to deliver an outsourced e-mail management service that ventures away from a 'one size fits all' filtering model.
Managed Services managing director Keith Lavelle said the partnership was a breakthrough for businesses seeking effective outsourced e-mail management customised to company tolerances and policies on e-mail usage.
"By employing the individualised rule sets within SurfControl E-mail Filter, we can avoid a 'one size fits all' approach to managed e-mail," Mr Lavelle said.
"Our customers not only receive clean e-mail through their gateway, but can vary the degree of filtering according to company policy, or by user."
Mr Lavelle said the new service was cost-effective for small to medium sized businesses without full-time IT staff, as well as larger businesses seeking improved IT resourcing and enhanced control over their e-mail management.
